Bosch uses GES encodersFull power release, clean recordNowadays, the reduction of fuel consumption and harmful emissions are fundamental requirements for the development of direct injection for diesel and gasoline engines. To meet these demands, measuring technology is required for the precise analysis of modern high-pressure systems and for unlocking the full improvement potential. With respect to diesel test benches, Bosch uses test methods that undergo continuous development and optimization and are used for the latest injection systems:
• Common rail • UI (Unit Injector) • UP (Unit Pump) • Electronically controlled distributor pumps and injection nozzles
Thanks to its robust design and the ability to work under high temperatures, the IH120 encoders from GES are used for this demanding application. The encoder works at temperatures of up to 100°C using special disks and electrical components. It comes with a diameter/length of up to 65 mm. They are available with cable or connector outputs.
